FAQ

What is Paths Collide?

Paths Collide is a collaborative project partnership between Codi V Photography and Danyele Vaughn Photography LLC. It is named for the idea that our paths are colliding in this space and in this project and we want our paths to collide with yours! We think everyone on this earth who meets, does so for a reason and we cannot wait to be in partnership with you on your journey.

Do you both come to my photo session or elopement?

YES! If you book your adventure session with Paths Collide, we work as a team to help plan every detail and both Codi & Danyele come to shoot it! We are all about community and relationship and believe our partnership brings something special to our side of this relationship.

I have no idea where to begin with my session or elopement. Can you help?

ABSOLUTELY! In fact, we love getting to work with you to help make all the plans for your day. We have a list of location ideas, can recommend vendors, and will even go shopping with you for that perfect outfit if that’s what you need! Have no fear, we are in this together!

I see you are based in Washington. Do you travel?

YES! Not only will we, we would LOVE to! Fill out our contact form and give us all the details you may (or may not) already have and lets do this! We are always ready for a new adventure with you!

Do we have to hike to get to epic locations for my photos?

No, not at all. We have many location suggestions that you can simply drive up to and park and you are there! We have done tons of research and been to man easy access locations that we would be happy to take you to!

I am not in WA State but want to elope there. Can I hire you?

Of coarse! We’d love the chance to work with you! We can easily communicate via email, text and phone to make the perfect arrangements for your day.

When should I book you?

As soon as you have a date in mind, reach out to us! Sometimes we book out over a year in advance so it’s always best to contact us as soon as you think you’d like to book us. If you just decided to go for it and your ideal date is coming up very soon, shoot us an email right away. It may not be too late. We always do our best to be very accommodating with last minute dates.

What do you charge?

Every single elopement is different and requires its own attention to detail and specific planning due to the nature of our "adventure" style. Every session is open for special customization, but our current base price is $2000 per elopement. Our Celebrating You and Couples sessions base pricing is $400.

How do we book you?

After filling out the contact form, we will be in touch within 48 hours and make a plan to meet and chat!

What is the process of receiving our photos?

You will get a custom password protected online gallery of high resolution edited images to download onto your home computer with rights to print. The final number of images is completely dependent on your specific session or wedding day. Quality over quantity is our motto, but you can expect about 50 final images per hour of shooting time.

Do you Photoshop your clients?

Before your photo session we talk to you about what insecurities or concerns you may or may not have before we work together. We strive to make sure and help you feel comfortable to be yourself in front of the camera while keeping in mind the things you have told us when we choose what angles to shoot from. If you have a temporary blemish or bruise you'd like removed, we are happy to do so but we believe in celebrating you and your authenticity and loving the way you are and will never alter your body or look, or remove the things that make you, you.

What happens if we need to cancel or reschedule?

We totally get it. Things happen. Please contact us as soon as you think this is going to happen.

At Paths Collide we take our time away from our families very seriously and keep ourselves limited to a certain amount of sessions and elopements each year. This means that if you need to cancel or reschedule your non-refundable retainer that you have paid at booking will not be refunded, even if you are just rescheduling. You will need to re-book with a full new retainer for your new date.

What do we do if there is bad weather on our shoot day?

It's the Pacific Northwest...chances are good that we could get at least a little drizzle. But often those moody drizzly days turn into pure magic and make for the best images and we will not cancel. If the weather will truly be awful and there is a chance our gear will be ruined because of it, we will cancel with you and do our very best to reschedule.

Do you offer any discounts?

We are currently offering introductory pricing through 2020 as this is a new project for us, but we do not offer any other discounts. Our pricing WILL go up in 2021.
