We met Marina and Logan a few months ago as winners of a giveaway we did. Our first session with them was in July, the 3rd to be exact. I remember that they were surprised we were working on a holiday weekend but...well, that's just how we roll. LOL Always down for an adventure with new clients! We spent the afternoon on that Friday up in the mountains taking some adorable photos for them. We chatted about how they weren't married yet and one day maybe we would work with them again! It was so fun and the photos were so beautiful!

Fast forward to...well, August. Literally just about a month later and they asked if we would be available in just a few weeks because they decided to elope! We had their date available and bam! The rest is history. In a matter of about 3 weeks, they rented an air bnb in Seattle, found an officiant, we helped them pick a place to go for photos, got their outfits. To top it off, they had told virtually NO ONE they were eloping. We were their witnesses and their photographers. None of their friends had any idea. After calling a few key people, they announced it the next day on social media with some images we sent them as soon as we got home. It was perfect.

Many people spend a year or more and a lot of money planning and executing their wedding day. Many people often stay engaged and wait and wait to "be ready financially" to pay for a wedding. Many people often feel stressed and overburdened by what should just be a really special, fun day. Marina and Logan experienced virtually none of those typical stresses of planning a wedding. Instead, they got ready together in their adorable air bnb, they relaxed on the couch with the most care free vibes while we waited for the officiant to arrive. Laughs as we signed their license and walked down the isle together, holding hands. They had no idea what their officiant would even be saying during their back yard ceremony. They were just so relaxed and had total faith in what was happening. We all cried like babies by the way...lol The officiant nailed it. Her words could not have been more perfect.

The day also included a trip to a local city park with amazing views for photos, a stop at the coffee shop where they had their first date, and I think they ended their night at Dicks for burgers and fries. So Seattle.

We are here to tell you friends, Marina and Logan are living proof that it doesn't have to be all that stress. If you want to get married and have a very limited budget or are just done waiting....its is *so* doable and will still be special and emotional and romantic and all those things. At the end of the day, no matter how you get married, you're no more or less married than anyone else because of HOW you got married. Don't let anyone make you feel like you have to have a big huge wedding if that is just not your style, or budget. Whatever supports your relationship in being the most genuine and authentic...that is what you should do for your wedding day.

And, even in the midst of a pandemic, you can still safely get married! Love is not canceled.

We think Marina and Logan nailed it. And their wedding day was so THEM.
